The 2010 Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature has just been announced and Scholastic Australia is proud to announce that Noodle Pie by Ruth Starke has been shortlisted for the Children’s Literature Award. Congratulations to our author Ruth Starke and to the team at Omnibus Books for their efforts and achievements.

The winners will be announced on Sunday 28th February on the first day of the Adelaide Writers Week.

Scholastic Australia is proud to announce that two of our titles have been shortlisted for the 58th APA Book Design Awards.

Congratulations to our designer, Simone Kelleher for being shortlisted for The Best Designed Children’s Picture Book Award for her design skills in producing The Princess and the Frozen Peas by Tony Wilson and illustrated by Sue deGennaro for Scholastic Press.

Also congratulations to our author and illustrator, Anna Walker for being shortlisted for The Best Designed Children’s series for her Friends for Keeps series, Let’s Play House also published by Scholastic Press.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Powerhouse Museum on Thursday 20th May 2010.
