Felice Arena grew up in the small Victorian town of Kyabram and is the oldest of four children. Coming from a lively Italian family, he felt he ‘had to perform' from an early age. When Felice was older he went to study at La Trobe University in Bendigo, Victoria. He graduated as a primary school teacher but decided instead to pursue his love of acting and writing. As an actor he played the part of Marco Alessi in Neighbours for a year, starred in numerous London West End musicals, made guest appearances on television dramas, and presented children's TV programs.
Felice is an award-winning author of several best-selling books, including the enormously popular Specky Magee series, co-written with his former school-mate and AFL legend, Garry Lyon.
Farticus Maximus and Other Stories That Stink is Felice's first book in an exciting new series with Scholastic Australia. Farticus Maximus is about a fierce gladiator who has a gut-busting secret weapon — the potent strength of his flatulence!! This is a super-hilarious kid-funny Roman tale and includes other equally stinky stories!
