Rolf Harris was born in Perth , Western Australia . He is an artist, musician, singer, TV presenter and internationally recognised entertainer.
Rolf Harris has been awarded three classes of the Order of the British Empire: MBE, OBE, CBE. He was also made a Member of the Order of Australia and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters by Perth's Edith Cowan University. Rolf's many hours of work in the entertainment industry was also recognised by his induction into the Australian ARIAs Hall of Fame.
He is known for his chart-topping hits including Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport, Six White Boomers and Two Little Boys and his invention of his unique musical instrument, the ‘wobble board'. Rolf is an accomplished artist and was commissioned by the BBC to paint a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II to celebrate her 80th birthday. On top of this, he has produced and hosted several award-winning TV shows and earned himself the title of ‘Britain's best-known Australian'. His series Animal Hospital was five times winner of the UK's National Television Awards and he is currently working on Rolf Harris's Star Portraits and Rolf on Art.
