David was born in Blackwood in South Australia, and is a graduate of the University of South Australia. He completed Bachelor of Design (Illustration) in the early 1990s and worked as a freelance illustrator, spending six years as an animator for Burgo’s Catchphrase, a TV game show.
His publishing work includes titles for Matthias Media, for which he won an illustration award in 1997, and cover illustrations for Omnibus Books including The Truth About Magic by Dave Luckett.
Grannysaurus Rex, by Tony Wilson is David’s first picture book for children, and he is also the illustrator of Lyn Lee’s Emily and the Dragon,. He is currently writing and illustrating a fantasy series for Omnibus Books.
David has recently returned to Adelaide after circumnavigating the globe.
