Bob Brown was for many years a singer/songwriter/comedian working Australia's folk and country festivals and the comedy and club circuit in Melbourne. Later he worked mainly as a primary school performer in schools all over Australia. Many of his songs, including Give Me a Home Among the Gum Trees and Big Bad Bushranger, have been recorded by some of Australia's most famous performers. His songs are well known to many schoolchildren, and some, such as Riding Round on Golf Balls, Snail's Pace and I Swallowed a Bee, have featured in ABC songbooks.
Bob is currently living by the sea, in ‘a home among the tea trees' on Victoria's beautiful Mornington Peninsula with his wife and son. Besides singing and writing, Bob works as a secondary school teacher and web page designer.
