Dromkeen /Candlebark School Project

A collaborative project of year four students from Candlebark that are curating an exhibition for Dromkeen from the Dromkeen Collection of artwork.

Through a series of education sessions at Dromkeen involving Dromkeen Education and Curating staff, and teaching staff from Candlebark, the students will be introduced to various aspects of visual literacy to museum & gallery work.
Students will be considering and selecting artwork to design a major exhibition for term 3 at Dromkeen.
Other year levels at Candlebark will be involved in generating many other aspects involved in hosting the exhibition opening on June 29.

“Children bring a unique perspective that can be refreshingly different to that of professional curators. This ‘uniqueness’ can be found in the themes that appeal to children, the styles in which they are interested, and both their broad range and detailed observations of art.”
John Marsden
Principal
Candlebark School
