The Dromkeen Society
As members of the Dromkeen Society, members of the general public or institutions assist in the promotion and preservation of Australian children's literature. Members are kept up to date with Dromkeen events such as the annual Dromkeen Dinner and the Dromkeen Medal presentation, Literary Soirees and Literary Luncheons. Members receive four comprehensive newsletters a year, and are entitled to special membership benefits.

Dromkeen Dragons
A club for primary-school-aged children interested in reading and books. Members receive a membership kit, meet with authors and illustrators on a day during the school holidays for fun activities at the Dragon Meet and receive a newsletter four times a year with club news and competitions. |

A visit to Dromkeen is an ideal way for families to spend an afternoon. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the gardens and bronze sculptures.

Special Events
The Annual Dromkeen Dinner and Dromkeen Medal Presentation
A gala evening at Dromkeen featuring guest speakers and the presentation of the Dromkeen Medal.
Held annually in February/March.
The Dromkeen Medal is presented annually to an Australian citizen for recent work that makes a significant contribution to the appreciation and development of children's literature.

Literary Luncheon
Join authors and illustrators at this grand event in the gardens of Dromkeen, of interest to teachers, librarians and the general public. The presentation of the Dromkeen Librarian's Award, guest speakers and a delicious lunch make this a special day out for all. Held annually on the first Friday in December.
Dromkeen Librarian's Award
The Dromkeen Librarian's Award is presented to a teacher, teacher librarian or children's librarian working within or outside the educational system. Tours
Dromkeen is an increasingly popular destination for tourist and special interest/community groups, as visitors are captivated by the historic homestead, the glorious gardens and the unique exhibition.
Tours through the Gallery rooms and gardens can be organised. Enjoy a cup of tea/coffee, bring lunch/afternoon tea, or Devonshire tea can be arranged. Combine a trip to Dromkeen with a visit to other places of interest in the surrounding area. Tour includes tea/coffee, biscuit.
Book a tour at $5.50 per person.
