Book Club Parent's Guide

Scholastic offers a variety of ways to help you build a home library filled with books and software your child will love. Scholastic Book Clubs are school-based and run by the school.

All Scholastic Book Clubs feature the highest standards of quality product selection, the result of more than 35 years of working with Australian schools to put books in kids’ hands. Every catalogue carries a range of grade-appropriate materials for grades PreK–8 and include award winners, classics, references and the latest fiction and nonfiction.

Convenience

Scholastic Australia Book Clubs are exclusively school-based clubs that offer parents an easy way to purchase the best children's books and software at discounted prices. The teacher distributes catalogues in the classroom. Your child brings one home, selects items (with your help!), then returns the order form and payment to the teacher. Items are subsequently delivered to your child in the classroom.

Classroom Rewards

Plus, when you participate, your child's class earns FREE resources (items chosen by the teacher to resource the classroom) and your child’s school earns Reading Reward Points redeemable for FREE teaching materials and classroom resources. So, your order helps provide free books and resources for your child's classroom!

Clubs at a Glance

	Busy Bee —a Book Club for little learners

	Wombat—a child’s first Book Club Wombat is for years Pre–K and will nurture a love of reading.

	Lucky—for young readers Lucky is for years 1–2, who are learning to read independently.

	Arrow—for Middle Primary kids Arrow is for years 3–4, who are beginning to make their own reading choices.

	Star—for Upper Primary and teenagers Star is for years 5–6, and is designed to make reading ‘cool’ and keep them reading.
