2006 ClassroomsCare Hall of Fame
ClassroomsCare enjoyed phenomenal success last year, with 2,800 classrooms taking part in the reading challenge by the end of the year. Feedback from schools:
- how wonderful the ClassroomsCare project is. The students at their school have absolutely loved participating and they are hoping they will be able to do it again next year. The teachers think it's a great way to get the kids reading . Tuart Hill Primary School , WA
- The kids love it and feel very proud when they show their achievements in reading. They hope we will run programs like this again in the future. The kids also loved how they were helping out other kids not as fortunate as them. Kardinia International College , VIC
And feedback from Scholastic consultants:
-
A fabulous programme that was seen by teachers as a valuable educational challenge for kids to support their reading programmes. Would love to see it repeated. Well done! Jo Greenway, WA Schools Consultant
-
Great responses and it certainly has been received positively in schools that I visited. Ross McCorkell, Victorian State Manager
