The Kindy / Pre-Prep children of Cribb Street Community Child Care Centre (Sadliers Crossing, QLD) thoroughly enjoyed reading 100 books with the thought of sharing this enjoyment with others in need.  The books covered many topics and interests and increased their literacy skills as well as numeracy skills through counting how many stickers to put on the chart and how many books we still had left to read.  The poster was displayed on our room door and many of the children liked showing their parents how many books we had read, very proud of their achievement!  Even though the children have completed reading their 100 books and filling in the chart, they are still reading many books each day and are looking forward to participating in Book Week at the end of August.

Thanks,
Mariann Burnett (Kindy / Pre-Prep Teacher).
