What is fun about selecting books for Lucky? I thoroughly enjoy working with people who share my passion for children’s literature. I have worked as a volunteer with various literacy foundations and I have a keen interest in motivating reluctant readers. Recent research shows that reading standards among boys are declining. But the good news is that research also indicates that boys will read—if they are given reading material that interests them. As the mother of two young boys I have a strong belief that reading holds something for everyone and I relish the opportunity to motivate and inspire children to pick up a book that is right for them and open their minds to the wonderful world of children’s literature.
