What is fun about selecting books for Star? Having that brand-new manuscript land on your desk! You never know what lies around the corner in terms of the NBT—Next Big Thing—in children's fiction. Children's literature is constantly changing, yet the classic favourites never go out of fashion. I hope in some small way I have also helped launch a renaissance in boys' fiction—there seems to be a lot more on offer now from when I started!
