The Teacher’s Guide has a Teacher Booktalk for every title in the Core Library. These introduce the books to the class and are designed to take about 10-15 minutes. They can be carried out in any order, and can be part of the class’s literacy program.

Teacher Booktalks

• Each book has a short introductory discussion for a whole class or group that highlights some of the book’s particular features.
• The notes include prompt questions and likely responses or other key points about the book.
• Comprehension Strategies and Thinking Skills based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences are listed.
