Once a student has completed a book and bookmark, they are ready to have a Reading Conversation with their teacher.
A Reading Conversation is a guided discussion between a student and a teacher about a particular book. The conversation is based on the prompt questions on the bookmark.
In the Teacher's Guide, there are teacher's notes for the Reading Conversation, which include a synopsis of the book and some of the likely responses students may give to each prompt question.
Comprehension strategies and thinking skills as described by Bloom's Taxonomy and Gardner's Multiple Intelligences are also listed for each activity on the bookmark.
