'I really enjoyed reading Dread Mountain; the fifth book in the Deltora series. I have read the first and second books in the series but not the third and fourth. This didn't seem to matter as I was easily able to catch on to the characters and storyline.
The thing I like most about the book is the descriptive language used by Emily Rodda to tell the story. She makes it easy to picture the characters and settings, and immediately you become involved in the adventure and want to keep on reading. Leif's journey to Dread Mountain adds another dimension to an already great series. The ending was a little predictable but I still wanted to keep reading to see what happened.
Dread Mountain didn't take me long to read because once I started it I couldn't put it down.
I would recommend it to senior primary students and anyone else who enjoyed the other books.'
