Laura Sieveking spent her early life in Wales—a land of castles and rolling green hills—before moving to Australia during primary school. Ever since she learned to hold a pencil, she has loved creating stories about magic, friendship and adventure. Laura has spent decades working as a Publisher in children’s books but is also passionate about creating her very own stories. She writes picture books, junior fiction and middle-grade books, including the series Ella at Eden and co-authors Gymnastics Diaries with Olympic gymnast Georgia Godwin. Her latest series Emerald Academy draws on one of her favourite childhood books, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Laura lives in Sydney with her husband, two children and two dogs who look like teddy bears.
